Signing in
This page describes different methods to sign in to the Datafund application.
To browse models and datasets no account is required. But in order to purchase or upload your model or dataset, a connected wallet is needed.
Web3auth
The Datafund application integrates Web3auth (https://web3auth.io/) service which enable users to easily connect their wallets in different ways. Just click the Sign in button and choose one of the shown methods.
Metamask
The easiest way is to use your Metamask extension, if you already have it installed in your browser. When the web3auth dialog opens, select the option Connect with Wallet. Click on the Metamask button and allow the extension to connect the Datafund web application. The application will ask you to sign the message that is used to verify that you are the owner of your wallet account.
If you use some other wallet that is compatible with WalletConnect, just scan the QR code and connect your wallet that way.
Social logins
If you don't have a wallet or you don't want to use it in the application, it's not a problem. You can sign in using one of your favorite application's accounts. For example you can sing in using your Gmail account. Just select the Continue with Google option. Whichever application you choose, a popup from that application will appear where you need to authorize the Web3auth to access your basic information.
Once when you authorize, the Web3auth will generate a wallet for you that will be stored in their network. But the private key of your wallet won't be accessible to anyone else except you. When you sign in, pieces of your private key are obtained from different Web3auth nodes and the whole private key is reconstructed inside the Datafund web page in your browser.
You can copy your wallet's address by clicking on the user menu button in the top-right corner after you successfully sing in.
Email login
Another alternative option to sign in is to use your email address. In the email field type your email address and click Continue. You will receive a verification code in your inbox. Just type the code into the new popup and you will sign in.
Conclusion
After you sign in, you can upload your models and datasets and your wallet's address will appear as the owner address. Also, when you are purchasing models or datasets, you will be using your account's wallet, so that wallet must have enough funds.
